What We Believe
- Salvation:
We believe that we are all sinners, deserving death, and in need of Christ's redemption.
We believe that Jesus Christ came to earth, fully God and fully man, lived a perfect life, and
died in our place on the cross, as payment for our sins. We believe that He rose from the dead on the third day, and is alive forever. We believe that when we repent of our sins and put our faith in Jesus Christ, He saves us from sin, death, hell, and separation from God, and gives us eternal life. Although our earthly bodies may be destroyed, our soul will live forever with Him. We are not able to save ourselves, and even our faith is a gift from Him.
"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." Ephesians 2:8-9
- Reformed Theology : In Christ Alone
"Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved." Acts 4:12
The heart of our theology can be summarized in the Five Solas of the Reformation, which simply states that our beliefs are grounded in scripture alone, and that our salvation is from Christ alone, through faith alone, by grace alone, to the glory of God alone.
